Is Besti HIPAA-compliant? How is PHI secured?

Yes. Besti is built for HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation with healthcare-grade safeguards (encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, role-based access, and audit logging). We support BAAs for covered entities and maintain standards designed for protecting sensitive women’s health information.

Do you store audio recordings of patient visits?

No. Besti processes audio in real time to generate an accurate transcript and clinical documentation. Audio is not retained after transcription—your practice controls retention of transcripts and notes, and you can delete documentation per your policies.

How does Besti generate notes, and what formats are supported?

Besti listens to your visit (in-person or virtual), creates a transcript, then drafts structured clinical documentation you can review and edit before it goes into your chart. Output supports SOAP and can be adapted to practice preferences (including templated women’s health visit types like annual well-woman, prenatal, problem visits, and H&P).

Does Besti work with our EHR/EMR?

Besti is EHR-agnostic and designed to run alongside your existing workflow—no heavy implementation required. Is our data used to train AI models?
